Request deletion of your HestiaMatch account and data

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your HestiaMatch account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the HestiaMatch app:

Open HestiaMatch

Launch the HestiaMatch app on your device

Go to Settings

Tap the profile icon, then tap the settings gear icon

Select "Delete Account"

Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option

Confirm Deletion

Enter your password and confirm to permanently delete your account

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at privacy@hestiamatch.com from the email address associated with your account.

Option 3: Request Deletion Online

Use the form below to submit a deletion request. We'll send a confirmation email to verify your identity before processing the deletion.

What Happens to Your Data

Permanently Deleted

  • Profile information (name, bio, preferences)
  • Photos and media
  • Messages and conversations
  • Matches and connections
  • Life Vision questionnaire answers
  • Search preferences
  • App activity and usage data

Retained for Legal Compliance

  • Transaction records (for tax/accounting purposes, up to 7 years)
  • Communications related to support tickets (up to 3 years)
  • Data required by law enforcement requests
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your matches, messages, and any remaining Spark Cards or premium subscription time.

Timeframe

Once you confirm deletion:

  • Immediate: Your profile is hidden from other users
  • Within 24 hours: Your account is deactivated
  • Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
  • Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being purged

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Take a break: You can hide your profile temporarily in Settings without losing your data
  • Cancel subscription: If cost is a concern, you can cancel your premium subscription and continue using the free version
  • Contact support: If you're having issues, our team may be able to help at support@hestiamatch.com
